Our Story
Bamacar® was founded in 2011 by a group of camping enthusiasts who wanted to reimagine the outdoor experience. After years of using traditional ground tents and RV campers, they recognized the need for an alternative that combined comfort, convenience, and connection to the outdoors.
While rooftop tents had been around for decades, most models at the time were bulky with basic features. The founders saw an opportunity to take rooftop tent design to the next level using the latest materials and engineering techniques. After months of research and prototyping, they created a lightweight yet durable tent that popped up in seconds while still providing a comfortable sleeping space off the ground.
The launch of the first Bamacar® Rooftop Tent was a huge success and kicked off the company’s growth. As avid adventurers themselves, the founders used feedback from fellow campers to rapidly iterate and improve the tent design. They added clever features like fold-out annex rooms and easy mounting systems to enhance the user experience. Word soon spread about this new generation of rooftop tent that made camping more enjoyable.
Over the years, Bamacar® has expanded into a complete range of rooftop tents and other outdoor accessories. However, our mission remains the same: to create innovative, quality gear that reconnects people with the outdoors.
